An original Highly Controversial 1967 promotional postcard for The Move’s single "Flowers in the Rain".

Created as a publicity stunt by the band's manager, Tony Secunda, the psychedelic cartoon depicts the UK Prime Minister at the time, Harold Wilson, naked in a bedroom with his secretary, Marcia Williams.

Infuriated by the salacious caricature and the nod to rumors about his private life, Harold Wilson successfully sued the band for libel.

The Judgment: The High Court ordered that approximately 500 printed copies of the postcard be destroyed. Crucially, the judge ruled that all future royalties from the song must be donated in perpetuity to charities of Wilson's choice.

The postcard measures 19 x 13.5 cm

The condition of the postcard is good - with some wear and paper loss
