The Beatles Yellow Submarine world gala premiere movie ticket stub 1968

An original World Gala Premiere movie ticket stub for The Beatles' 1968 animated feature film Yellow Submarine, which was held at the London Pavilion in Piccadilly Circus on Wednesday the 17th of July 1968.

The ticket was for Row C, Seat 14.

This was one of the final times all four Beatles attended a public event together before their eventual split. John Lennon arrived in a white suit alongside Yoko Ono (marking one of their first high-profile public appearances as a couple). Ringo Starr wore a yellow ruffled shirt, George Harrison sported a hat, and Paul McCartney famously arrived on his own (his fiancée Jane Asher announced the end of their relationship on television just three days later).

Following the film screening, the celebration moved across London to the Royal Lancaster Hotel. The hotel's in-house dance club was completely redesigned and officially renamed the "Yellow Submarine" discotheque for the occasion.

The ticket stub measures 16 x 14.6 cm.

The condition of the ticket stub is very good –, with a vertical crease through the middle and some tape staining on the reverse.
