The Beatles Ed Sullivan show photograph 1965

An original type 1 photograph of The Beatles on The Ed Sullivan Show, taken at the group's fourth and final appearance on the programme. 

The performance was recorded on the 14th of August 1965 at CBS Studio 50 (the Ed Sullivan Theatre), New York City, the day before the group's landmark Shea Stadium concert, and was broadcast on the 12th of September 1965. That broadcast was the last edition of the show to air in black-and-white.

The reverse is stamped with the broadcast date ‘SEP 12 1965’ and carries the printed letterhead template at the top-left corner reading "THE BEATLES: ED SULLIVAN SHOW".

The photograph measures 23.1 × 17.9 cm.

The condition of the photograph is very good +, with a small pinhole to one corner.
