Pink Floyd The Division Bell Duplicate Transparency 1994
An original production duplicate transparency of the photograph used for the cover of Pink Floyd's 1994 album The Division Bell. The image shows the two stone heads facing one another in a field outside Ely, Cambridgeshire, with Ely Cathedral framed in the gap between them and a child standing at the foot of the left-hand head.
The transparency is on Kodak Ektachrome 6046 duplicating film and carries handwritten chinagraph annotations to the rebate relating to reproduction and sizing — the working marks of the design studio.
The sleeve was art directed by Storm Thorgerson, and the transparency comes from his collection.
The transparency measures 7 x 6.5 cm.
