Lemmy Kilmister Car Bash Charity Event hand annotated polaroid 1982
An original polaroid of Lemmy Kilmister of Motörhead taken during Motörhead's "Car Bash" charity event, which took place on the 28th of May 1982, at the old Tower Records on Mercer Street in Seattle, Washington.
Lemmy has written “Self-inviting nasty to be a next one 28/5/82 Seattle” on the reverse.
The event was a promotional charity drive hosted by the band ahead of their first-ever headlining show in Seattle later that evening at the Paramount Theatre.
Fans paid $1.00 per swing to hit a "beater" car with a sledgehammer. The proceeds from the event were donated to a charity supporting the prevention of elder abuse.
The polaroid measures 10.4 x 10.2 cm
The condition of the polaroid is very good + with some wear to the bottom of the film
