Led Zeppelin Chuck Boyd Contact Sheet 1969

An original photographic contact sheet captured by photographer Chuck Boyd, dating from early January 1969 during Led Zeppelin's inaugural promotional tour in California.

The sheet features a fascinating mix of gritty street-level photojournalism and intimate rock-and-roll history. The bottom half contains rare, candid frames of lead singer Robert Plant relaxing backstage, tuning an acoustic guitar, and playfully interacting with a small puppy.

Contrasting sharply with the intimate portraits, the top rows of the sheet capture the raw, immediate aftermath of a multi-car accident on a city street, complete with damaged vehicles, police arrivals, and onlookers gathering.

The contact sheet features a Photograph by Chuck Boyd stamp on the reverse.

The contact sheet measures 27.9 x 22 cm
