Last Night of the old Cavern Ticket 1973

An original ticket for the "End of an Era" final night at the original Cavern Club in Liverpool, held on Sunday the 27th of May 1973. The original club closed because British Rail made a compulsory purchase of the site to build a ventilation shaft for the Merseyrail underground railway. Although the club was demolished the following morning, a new version was later rebuilt on 70% of the original footprint in the 1980s. The ticket measures 14.7 x 11.5 cm when closed and 29.6 x 11.5 cm when opened The condition of the ticket is good + with some staining to the front with some slight wear and creasing
