Hey Jude Music Video Invitation 1968

An extremely rare invitation to the Music Video for Hey Jude which took place at Twickenham Film Studios on the 4^th of September 1968.

This film session is now seen as a favourite of all Beatles Fans.

This shoot marked the exact moment Ringo Starr returned to the band after quitting a couple of weeks prior during the tense White Album recording sessions. When he arrived at the studio, his drum kit was beautifully covered in flowers as a welcoming gesture from the rest of the group.

This invitation was given to Maureen Willy who was a long-standing Beatles fan who would wait outside Abbey Road Studios to see the group after they had finished recording.

The invitations were given out outside Abbey Road Studios, through the Fan Club or just randomly on the streets of London by the likes of Mal Evans.

The letter explicitly instructs the recipient to report to the Grosvenor Hotel near Victoria Station at 4:45 p.m., where private coaches were waiting to transport the audience to the studio.
