The Beatles Hollywood Bowl ticket stub 1964

An original ticket stub for a Beatles concert at the Hollywood Bowl on the 23rdof August 1964 the tickets for the concert were sold out in less than four hours when they went on sale in April 1964. The concert was promoted by a young L.A. disc jockey named Bob Eubanks, who had to put his house up as collateral to finance the show. The Beatles were guaranteed $25,000 against a portion of the box office receipts The concert was recorded by Capitol Records, with producer George Martin and engineer Geoff Emerick on site, with the intention of releasing a live album. Due to the overwhelming crowd noise and technical limitations of the three-track recording equipment at the time, the sound quality was poor, and the album project was shelved until 1977. The album, The Beatles at the Hollywood Bowl, combined tracks from the 1964 concert and two shows from August 1965.
