An Original photograph of The Beatles during their famous canal boat trip in Amsterdam on June 6, 1964 This iconic moment occurred during their first visit to the Netherlands and was part of their 1964 World Tour, where Jimmie Nicol temporarily filled in for an ill Ringo Starr as the drummer. The Beatles got on a glass-topped tourist boat, the "Jan van Galen", for a tour through Amsterdam's canals, which served as a publicity event before their concerts in Blokker, a village north of Amsterdam.
