An original diary which belonged to Terry Doran and documents his 1981 year.

Dating from Doran's final period at Friar Park, the diary is a fascinating first-hand record of that life, written in his own hand.

The everyday entries capture the texture of running a great house and estate car servicing and dealings with garages (Granada, Talbots, Autotek), horticultural notes (roses, Elaeagnus, a hose-pipe attachment for the grounds).

Provenance: From the collection of Terry Doran. Terence James Doran (1939–2020) was a Liverpudlian luxury car dealer, pop music manager, and music publishing executive who became one of The Beatles' closest inner-circle associates, best known for his association with the band. He came into their world through his friendship with manager Brian Epstein.

The diary measures 21.6 x 15.2 cm
