Spike Milligan letter to George Harrison 1979

An original typed letter from comedian Spike Milligan to George Harrison, dated 27th June 1979 and signed by Spike Milligan in felt-tipped pen.

The letter reads:

"Dear George,
I wonder if you can help. Every year 800 elephants in the Kruger Park are shot due to over-population. John Varty, head of the Londolozi Game Reserve, is trying to save these animals from being shot by translocating them to other game areas where the elephant count is very low. The cost of transporting each elephant is £1,500. I myself am going to donate this amount to save one elephant, and if you would like to do it, it would be a small step in helping the animal world from gradual destruction. You can name an elephant yourself and have a certificate stating the fact, and you yourself will always know there is an elephant with your name tag on it running free somewhere in Africa.
Do think about it.

The letter measures 25.3 x 20.2 cm

The condition of the letter is very good + with some slight creasing
