Pink Floyd The Guildhall Portsmouth Ticket Stub 1972
An original ticket stub for a Pink Floyd concert held at The Guildhall, Portsmouth on Friday, 21st of January 1972.
This concert was the second night of the band's UK tour where they premiered a brand-new piece of music live, then tentatively titled Dark Side of the Moon: A Piece for Assorted Lunatics.
The night before this show (January 20th at the Brighton Dome), the band had to stop playing halfway through the new suite due to severe technical and tape machine problems. As a result, the concert at the Portsmouth Guildhall became the very first time Pink Floyd managed to perform the legendary album live in its absolute entirety.
The ticket stub measures 9 x 8.5 cm
The condition of the ticket stub is very good – with some creasing and light tearing at the bottom
