George Martin signed Birthday Card 1995
A Birthday Card which has been signed and inscribed by George Martin on the inside in Black fine nibbed pen George has added the inscriptions “To John wishing you a” before his name and “Producer of The Beatles” After his name The Card comes with a letter from the original owner which reads: "TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN" I was working in a Factory, in ALTON, Hampshire in about 1995. I was a Technical Sales Representative. In the Quality Control Department, there was a young man, and I think his name was "CHRIS" (I'm not sure, because it was a long time ago now)! I used to do quite a lot of work with Chris because of the nature of our jobs. One day, Chris said to me, "I'm off to see my uncle, George Martin this weekend." I said, "Not George Martin of the Beatles fame?" He said, "Yes- he’s, my uncle." It was my dad's Birthday in a couple of weeks’ time (JOHN), and I asked Chris if there was any possibility of George writing a Birthday card to dad? Chris said, "I'm sure Uncle George won't mind)!" Monday morning came and Chris and I met up in Q.C. Dept. Chris said, "George has written this card for your dad." Chris handed it to me. I was really amazed and grateful. Dad had a Birthday party, and the card was read out and given to him. He was over the moon with it. On dad's death, the card came into my possession, and I can confirm this is the actual card that Chris (George Martin's nephew), gave to me, all those years ago. I apologise for the poor handwriting, but I'm in my seventies now and have tried my best! The card measures 14.9 x 10.6 cm The condition is Mint
