Eric Clapton 60th birthday party programme and invitation

An original invitation and programme for Eric Clapton's 60th birthday party, which was hosted by his wife, Melia Clapton, and held at the Banqueting House at London's Whitehall Palace on 29 March 2005.

The front and back covers of the programme feature images of Clapton as a young boy, and the inside contains the menu and invitation card, which lists Jimmie Vaughan and the Tilt-A-Whirl Band as the live musical act.

Provenance: From the collection of Terry Doran. Terence James Doran (1939–2020) was a Liverpudlian luxury car dealer, pop music manager, and music publishing executive who became one of The Beatles' closest inner-circle associates, best known for his association with the band. He came into their world through his friendship with manager Brian Epstein.
