Mary and Cindy have signed using their first names only, with Mary adding the inscription ‘Supremes.’ The autographs were obtained during the group’s two-week residency at the Talk of the Town nightclub, which ran from January 22 to February 3, 1968. The album comes with a note from the original owner which reads: “In 1968 I went with a friend to The Talk of the Town (off Leicester Square) to see The Supremes (Diana Ross, Cindy Birdsong and Mary Wilson). After the show we went to the stage door and awaited the trio (I had bunches of violets for each of them!). They graciously stopped and signed my LP of their greatest hits! In 1973 I saw Diana Ross in Las Vegas - she didn’t remember me!! I was also privileged to be in the audience to see my hero The King at Hilton International. Although at this stage he was working very hard and physically not at his best he was nevertheless a charismatic and superb performer and the audience ecstatic! Of course, his voice never deserted him. Awesome. Never forgotten.” The album measures 31 x 31 cm The overall condition is good + with some tearing to both edges
