The card includes variations of his autograph in both his legal name (“John Osbourn”) and stage name (“Ozzy Osbourne”). These signatures are believed to have been created while Ozzy was practising his autograph style prior to touring. The autographs were obtained in 1974 at Ozzy’s then-home, Bullrush Cottage, Ranton, Staffordshire. A fan visited the house and was greeted by Ozzy’s first wife, Thelma Riley, who explained that Ozzy was on tour but would arrange an autograph. A few minutes later, one of Ozzy’s children brought out the signed card. The autograph comes with a handwritten note from the original owner, which reads: “Enclosed autograph of Ozzy Osbourne signed John Osbourn \u0026amp; Ozzy Osbourne. I had this signed in 1974 when I went to the village of Ranton to his house, Bullrush Cottage! Ozzy’s then wife Thelma answered the door and said he was on tour, but said she could find me his autograph, which she did.
