I was a super enthusiastic Beatles fan; I was so excited when I learned that John Lennon lived a mere three blocks from my family's apartment. Not only did my friends and I spend hours standing across the street from the imposing gothic facade of The Dakota apartment building where Lennon lived, we also decided that we'd like to interview him for our school newspaper.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003eI then proceeded to send John Lennon about one hundred letters requesting an interview and asking to meet with him. After a few months, I received this postcard in the mail. I was both excited and disappointed.
