My name is Greg Collier, and this Issue 44 of Viz magazine was signed for me, in person, by Paul McCartney himself. The magazine was released 26\/11\/1990, so nearly thirty years ago to the day. I was working for ad agency GGK London in Dean Street. My route to and from work passed MPL (McCartney Publishing Ltd) No. 1 Soho Square. Most days you would see a large group of Japanese female fans hanging about on the corner of the road, hoping to see him. This evening was different. They had gathered excitedly around the doors of MPL and I moved in for a closer look. I stood at the back, and to my surprise, he saw me looking awkward and asked me to join in. \"Don't be shy,\" he said. A bit stunned, I asked him if he could sign the only thing of mine. \"I've only got this Viz,\" I told him. \"I love Viz,\" he replied, and proceeded to sign it. I went home happy, and it wasn't until I was sitting on the train that I noticed he signed just above a mock story about himself. Was it fate? I couldn't believe that just happened to me. Well, that's the story, and it was All plain luck.
